A trip up the coast in the winter is always interesting. Braving the tail of a storm for the promise of good friends and a yummy buffet, we picked up Sonja and Jim and charged into the wind, rain and hail. When we arrived, the Resort was all decked out for the holiday, and the staff was friendly and efficient. While still early, there were a lot of Cruiser’s jackets and hot coffee. Soon there were about 60 members and family standing around, greeting in a holiday spirit. The buffet was open with custom omelets, sliced beast and all manor of lovely edible delights. The sea was crazy mad, making a great spectacle for us all, cozy and warm behind the glass. Everyone had a great time eating and chattering, telling stories and making plans. Too soon, people began filtering out. It’s always great to see the Rhody Cruisers family, and to share another good time.
